1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Pylar ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including without limitation users who are browsers, customers, merchants, and contributors of content.

2. Description of Service

Pylar is a secure data access layer platform that enables AI agents to safely interact with structured data sources. The Service includes:

Creation and management of SQL views for data governance
Generation and deployment of MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools
Connection to databases, data warehouses, and business applications
Agent execution monitoring and analytics (Evals)
Access control and security features

3. Account Registration and Security

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Ensuring that your account information is kept up to date

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

4. Data Connections and Credentials

When connecting data sources to Pylar, you:

Grant Pylar permission to access your databases and data sources using the credentials you provide
Represent that you have the legal right and authority to grant such access
Are responsible for maintaining the security of your database credentials
Understand that Pylar stores encrypted credentials to facilitate connections

For databases and data warehouses, your data remains in its original location. Pylar indexes metadata for querying and executes queries on your infrastructure. For business applications, data may be synced to Pylar's infrastructure for optimized querying.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party agreements governing your data.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
Access or attempt to access data without proper authorization
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

6. Pricing and Payment

Pylar offers various subscription plans with different features and usage limits. Pricing is available on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

Free Trial: We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial period, you will be automatically charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Billing: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in your subscription plan.

Overage Fees: If you exceed the usage limits of your plan, additional fees may apply as specified in your plan details.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Price changes will be communicated to you at least 30 days in advance and will apply to your next billing cycle.

7. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in any fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activity.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may delete your account data and content, though we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Pylar and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any data, content, SQL views, and MCP tools you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant Pylar a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

9. Data Privacy and Security

We take data security seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

You are responsible for:

Ensuring that any data you connect to Pylar is used in compliance with applicable privacy laws
Obtaining necessary consents for processing personal data through the Service
Implementing appropriate security measures for your data sources
Not connecting data that you do not have the right to access or process

10. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the Service will be available 100% of the time. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

11. Warranties and Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will meet your specific requirements
The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
Any errors in the Service will be corrected

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PYLAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pylar and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Any data or content you provide or connect to the Service

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
